Thursday night, the Tigers gave their fans a taste of what they can expect from week to week in the coming months. After a slight lull during Wednesday night's practice, effort was through the roof during the Public preview. From top to bottom the kids were competitive, with much of the success attributed to the first team offense and defense. Amongst the highlights were huge returns, big hits, long passes, and a plethora of excitement. Senior standouts included QB Nik Allred, WR Shawn Muniz, RB Alfonso Perea, WR/QB Jake Buck, LB Jon Park, and WR Kel Robbins. Allred had a successful night on both sides of the ball culminating in a massive hit during a punt. Nik Ran for a TD and threw for another connecting with Perea on a 60 yard bomb. Perea and Muniz both played outstanding in the return game with Muniz returning 2 kickoffs for touchdowns. Jake Buck shined in almost every spot he played, throwing a touchdown along with a 2 point conversion. He also led the defense from his free safety spot in a dominant effort. Jon Park also had a huge night with 3 sacks, and created havoc in the backfield countless other times. Kel Robbins also showed off his skill set catching the ball, including a circus sideline catch thrown from Allred.
On another note, the future looks bright at Ogden High as Sophomore QB Anthony Sattiewhite dazzled during a few plays on scout team, and led the varsity offense 80 yards for a score on the last series of the night.
