Football camp came to an end, and did so with excitement and success. Our Day 4 scrimmage was a great success, and certain players stepped up to fill the shoes of those who were injured. Junior Defensive Lineman John Rancifer solidified himself as a top 3 defensive end, and Senior P.J. Giles had some solid reps at Nose. Senior Corner Garrett Casperson also captured notoriety with 2 interceptions, one he returned for a touchdown. Senior Linebacker Trevor Bertoch also returned an interception for a touchdown, thanks to a Jake Buck deflection.
On Offense, Nik Allred and Eric Porter hooked up for a pair of long touchdown passes. Allred also had 3 touchdown runs on the day.
Friday, our Alumni 7 on 7 game was an awesome opportunity for the current players to measure up to Ogden High's football past. Players from as far back as 1998 came to play against the 2009 Tigers. Though it was competitive throughout, the current team won 32 - 10 only allowing a single (yet controversial) touchdown pass from Nate Tuatagaloa to Sam Marcheschi.
